Ahmad ibn Hanbal quotes f r o m Zir ibn Jubaish f r o m Abi ibn Ka’b that he asked Zir ibn Jubaish that: “how many verses does have Ahzab surah?” Zir answered: “73 verses”, then Abi ibn Ka’b said: “it is impossible, truly I saw that Ahzab surah had as many verses as Baqara surah and the verse of stoning adulterers (Rajm) was also in this surah”, Zir asked: “what is Rajm verse?” Abi ibn Ka’b answered:
"الشیخ و الشیخه اذا زنیا فار جموهما البتة". (1), (2)
Hakim quotes f r o m Abi ibn Ka’b in Mustadrak that he said:
“Ahzab surah had as many verses as Baqara surah and the verse of stoning adulterers (Rajm) was also in this surah”.(3)
Siyuti also quotes f r o m Abi ibn Ka’b in al-Durr al-Manthur through several ways that he said:
“not only Ahzab surah had as many verses as Baqara surah, but also it had more verses than Baqara surah.”(4) (5)
