Question:How has been Mushabbahon beh deviated in Manzilat tradition?
Answer: Some of enemies of the progeny of the Prophet (s.a.w) “Nawasib” tried to deviate Mushabbahon beh of the tradition of Manzilat and used the word of “Qarun” instead of “Aaron” to present Ali (a.s.) as Qarun.
Ibn Asakir Damishqi Shafi’i quotes from Ismail Ibn Abbas in the translation of Huraiz Ibn Uthman that he said: I heard from Huraiz Ibn Uthman who said that: this matter that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) said to Ali (a.s.): انت منّى بمنزلة هارون من موسى “You are to me what Aaron was to Moses” is true but the listeners have made a mistake. I asked him that: So what is the correct sentence? He said that: it is as follows: انت منّى بمنزلة قارون من موسى “You are to me what Qarun was to Moses.” I asked him that: From whom you quote such a tradition? He said that: I heard it from Walid Ibn Abdul Malik on pulpit.
We say in answer to this matter that:
First: According to all traditions that have mentioned in the traditional books even in the both Sahih books, the word “Aaron” has been used.
Second: Only Huraiz quotes such a tradition from Abdul Malik who is one of the enemies of Ahle Bayt (a.s.) especially Imam Ali (a.s.)
Third: According to what has been mentioned in the Sunnite books about his translation and biography, Huraiz Ibn Uthman is a “Nasibi” (the enemy of Ahle Bayt (a.s.))
Yahya Ibn Salih Wahazi says that: It was asked from me that: why do you not write tradition from Huraiz Ibn Uthman? I told him that: I can't write tradition from whom I performed the Morning prayer with him for seven years while he didn’t leave the mosque unless he cursed Ali seventy times per day.
Abu Hafs says that: Huraiz Ibn Uthman insulted Ali (a.s.) many times and cursed him on pulpits and clearly said that: I do not like him because he killed my fathers.[1][2]
